The New CUE Broadcast
TL;DR Summary: CUE Broadcast is rolling out a completely rebuilt app on November 4, 2025 with a faster guide, DVR (record shows & series), smarter search, pause/rewind of live TV, and a cleaner, modern UI. You can still lock in the $59.99/mo Founder’s Rate before launch; after Nov 4 it moves to $69.99/mo.
The Short Version — This is a REALLY BIG Upgrade
CUE says the new platform is a ground-up refresh: faster performance, a modernized framework for quicker updates, and a redesigned guide and menus that make content easier to find. You’ll see a personalized home screen (Continue Watching, recent channels, genre rows), improved Favorites, and a much snappier EPG (program guide).
The platform is extremely stable and good. It’s been around 8 years, and it keeps improving. CUE bought the company that had that platform, so it’s their platform now.
The new features of the app include:
- Cloud DVR – unlimited and saved for 60 days unless you save it again
- TimeWarp: Pause, rewind, and restart live TV
- Smarter navigation (local channels by state)
- Search by category, title, actor, and more
- Closed captions
- SAP (Secondary Audio Program) for other languages
- Favorites list (saved across all your devices)
- Last channel recall
- Channels have numbers (unlike the old app)
- High quality – even with bad internet (less buffering)
I’ve seen the new platform demonstrated in some meetings I’ve had with them. They just released this video and you can now see it for yourself:
New Exciting Features
These features really modernize CUE and bring it up to date with what people expect from such a service. It’s now much more Netflix-like.
- Cloud DVR: Record single episodes or full series right from the guide. Indicators clearly show what’s scheduled.
- Pause & Rewind Live TV: Missed something? Back up and replay key moments.
- “Catch-Up” in the Guide: Scroll the program guid backwards to watch shows that aired earlier. CUE’s walkthrough shows up to ~72 hours on many channels.
- Smarter Search: Faster, more relevant results across live, on-demand, and restartable programs (start watching from the beginning).
- Favorites That Follow You: A simplified way to pin channels and see them in a personalized favorites guide.
- Modern UI & Performance: New framework aimed at “enterprise-grade” reliability and speed.
Forget the Old App – It’s Better Now

If the previous app’s quirks pushed you away, this release is designed to fix exactly that: navigation is faster, the guide loads instantly in the demos, and managing recordings feels straightforward instead of fiddly. In short, they’ve focused on the two things that make or break a live TV app—speed and control.
Price Change on November 4, 2025
CUE is promoting a limited Founder’s Rate of $59.99/month if you join before the new platform goes live. After November 4, 2025, the monthly price is slated to be $69.99 because of the added features. Some promos say the Founder’s Rate is “for life,” so if you’ve been considering it, now’s the time.
What to Expect During the Transition
CUE emailed subscribers that there may be occasional hiccups on the current platform while they finish the cutover—those should resolve once the new app is live. If you’re returning, plan to update the app on your devices after release day. (See the App Store / Google Play listings, and CUE’s setup pages, if you need a fresh install.)
Quick Start — 3 Steps
- Join before Nov 4: Sign up here to lock the $59.99/mo rate.
- Update the app on launch day: Install the newest CUE app on your devices (phone, TV stick, or use the web player). Find “CUE Broadcast 4” to get the new app once it’s ready.
- Set it up your way: Add channels to Favorites, schedule a show or two, and try the new guide + catch-up to get a feel for it.
Why You’ll Love This Update
- Live sports/news watchers who need quick navigation and reliable pause/rewind.
- DVR-first viewers who want series recording without juggling multiple apps.
- Anyone burned by the old UI who just wants a smoother, faster guide.
